Request Login ID - Information and Tips

Login ID Tips: (Please Read)

1.Your Login ID and password must each be between 6 and 15 characters.

2.Your password is case sensitive. That means that the Password "Mark299" is different than the password "MARK299".

3.We recommend that you use a combination of upper case letters, lower case letters and numbers in your password.

4.Never share your password with anyone else.

5.Save your Login ID and password in a safe place so you can use them to create and submit subsequent annual IRS and/or State filings or to edit filing that have not yet been transmitted.

6.Use a valid personal email address.
  • Make sure the email address you enter is valid. The security in the authentication process requires you to respond to an email that is sent to the email address in our records. If you do not receive that email, you will not be able to complete the authentication process, and your return will not be transmitted to the IRS or the States in which you are registering.

  • If you are an officer of your organization who will be signing the IRS and/or State Registration forms created on this system, make sure you enter an email address into your Login ID to which only you have access. You will be using your Login ID to sign your forms. The email adddress in your Login ID will be used (and captured) as part of the authentication (Electronic Signature) process for your forms. The email address you enter into your Login ID must be your email address (not a general email address for your organization or that of an assistant or outside preparer).

  • We automatically send the authentication information (including the email address used) to the particpating states when we transmit your filing to them. We also maintain that information in our database for the IRS in case they ever need it.
