Forms and Tax Years Supported: IRS Forms: Our system supports IRS Form 990, Form 990-EZ and Form 8868. You can create these IRS filings for Tax Years 2008 and later. The IRS only accepts electronically filed returns for the current tax year and the previous two tax years. You can create returns for earlier tax years (back to 2008), but those must be printed and mailed to the IRS - they cannot be electronically filed. Hawaii: Our system supports Initial Charitable Registration and Annual Charitable filings for Hawaii. You can create these filings for Tax Year 2008 and greater. You must create and file a Hawaii Initial Registration in the system before the system will allow you to create an annual filing. All HI filings MUST be electronically filed with Hawaii. Hawaii does not accept these forms by US mail. Michigan: Our system supports annual charitable filings for MI. You can create filings for Tax Year 2008 and greater. You can electronically file MI annual filings for the current tax year and the previous two tax years. Filings for earlier tax years must be printed and mailed to Michigan New York: Our system supports the CHAR500 annual filing for NY. You can create CHAR500 filings for the current tax year and the previous two tax years. CHAR500 filings created on our system MUST be electronically filed with NY. New York does not accept the CHAR500 generated by our system via US mail. NOTE: Effective September 8, 2020, New York launched their new Online CHAR500 system. You can no longer create new TY 2019 NY CHAR500s in our system. You can still create CHAR500s for tax years 2017 and 2018 and if you have an existing TY 2019 CHAR500 already in our system, you may complete it and electronically file it with New York. If you want to create a new TY 2019 CHAR500 for New York, please open your browser to the NY charities e-file page at https://www.charitiesnys.com/e-file.html.
