| What are the filing requirements for Form 8868 (request for extension) ? |
| The following are the requirements for filing a Form 8868 (Request for extension) using the Form 990 Online System:
- The extension request must be for a Form 990 or Form 990-EZ
- The extension request must for a full 12-month tax period (not a short year period)
- The request must be for the Automatic 6 month extension
- The extension request must be for a single organization return
