The IRS made a number of changes to the Form 990, Form 990-EZ and Schedule A for 2006. The following is a summmary of the changes:
2006 Form 990 Changes:
- Added New Sub-line to Part I, Line 1 for Contributions to Doner Advised Funds
- Added new line 22a to Part II for Grants Paid from Doner Advised Funds.
- Added New line 25b to Part II for Compensation to Former officers, Directors, etc.
- Added New line 25c to Part II for Compensation to disqualified persons.
- Added New line 50b to Part IV for Receivables from disqualified persons.
- Added New line 54a to Part IV for Publicly Traded Securities
- Added the ability to attach a pdf of the conformed changes to the governing docs to Part VI, Line 77.
- Added the ability to attach a pdf of the dissolution plan to Part VI, Line 79.
- Added New line 88b to Part VI regarding Controlled entities
- Added New line 89e to Part VI regarding Prohibited Tax Shelter Transactions
- Added New line 89f to Part VI regarding Applicable Insurance Contracts
- Added New line 89g to Part VI regarding Excess Business Holdings
- Added Part XI to record information about transfers to and from Controlled Entities.
2006 Form 990-EZ Changes:
- Added the ability to attach a pdf of the conformed changes to the governing docs to Part V, Line 34.
- Added the ability to attach a pdf of the dissolution plan to Part V, Line 36.
- Added New line 40e to Part V regarding Prohibited Tax Shelter Transactions
2006 Schedule A Changes:
- Added a statement to Part III, Line 3c.
- Moved Line 4b to Line 3d
- Added New line 4b to Part III regarding Taxable Distributions
- Added New line 4c to Part III regarding Distributions ot Doners
- Added New lines 4d and 4e to Part III regarding the number and value of Donor advised Funds
- Added New lines 4g and 4g to Part III regarding the number and value of other Funds
- Added New additional informaiton to the statement for Part IV, Line 13
